LINDA LEE HUNTINGTON

BANGOR AND NEWBURGH -- Linda Lee Huntington, 66, passed away unexpectedly March 24, 2013, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Oct. 25, 1946, in Bangor, daughter of the late Kenneth W. LeGasse and Ethel "Betty" (Moore) Pittman.

Linda was a member of Eagles Club and Elks Club, and was tthe past auxiliary president of Eagles Club, Brewer. She was a great cancer fundraiser and was part of Pink Sock Foundation. Linda raised thousands of dollars to help cancer survivors and their families.

She graduated from University of Maine with a Bachelor of Science degree, with highest distinction in1980.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children, Steven Moores, and wife Wendy, of Colchester, Conn., Keith Moores and wife Amy, of Amherst, Michelle Tidd and husband Andrew, of Eddington, and Jason Huntington, of Newburgh; companion, Tim Merrill, of Newburgh; brother, Kenneth LeGasse and wife Anita, of Winthrop; 15 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her stepfather, Hugh Pittman; brother, John Ernest; first husband, Edward Moores; second husband, Eugene Huntington; and grandparents, Ernest and Dorothy Moore.

Friends may gather with the family from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. After the gathering, a celebration of life reception will be held at the Eagles Club, Brewer. Interment will be in the spring at Locust Grove Cemetery, Hampden.
