RANDOLPH -- Erica Ann Brown, 31, of Randolph died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at MaineGeneral Medical Center, following a brief illness. She was born in Augusta on May 8, 1979, a daughter of Theresa Brown and Michael Edwards.
Erica was a graduate of Cony High school. She received her CNA certificate in 1997 and worked at the Glenridge nursing home for a while. She was a waitress in area restaurants in the Augusta and Gardiner area. Her last place of employment was at the Mike's Bar & Grill in Gardiner.
Erica liked working with people; she loved waitressing. She loved to go fishing, and always kept her fishing gear in her car. When she would find a spot, she and her girls would stop to fish.
Erica's heart and soul were her two daughters. Her world revolved around her children.
She is survived by her daughters, Majesta and Haylee of Randolph; her mother, Terry, and stepfather Bill Neptune of West Gardiner; her father, Michael P. Edwards, and stepmother Carmen of Whitefield; her brother, Cory Brown, of Randolph; and two sisters, Sheena Smith of Litchfield and Crystal Edwards of Elizabeth City, N.C.; two stepbrothers, Chris Neptune of Augusta and BJ Neptune of Washington state; stepsister Kaylah Neptune of Augusta; paternal grandfather Brian Edwards of Chelsea; maternal grandmother Emily Morgan of Readfield; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner. A gathering will follow after the service at Mike's Bar & Grill on Water Street in Gardiner.
